I ask Cartez to please let me speak to the General Manager, he said the manager wasn’t available. Now, I was informed my reservation was canceled ( without my permission ) my credit card was charged $1,302.89, and to make matters worse the hotel turned around and re-sold the room!! What they did was CRIMMINAL!! They stole this money from me. So, that was exactly what I did! Keep in mind I paid $1,302.89 for my two-night stay. I informed him I NEVER gave that agent authorization to cancel my reservation!! Yes, I spoke to him about the reservation but because the agent couldn’t give me a refund that agent instructed me to call the hotel directly to take care of the cancelation and my refund. I said that’s impossible I was waiting to hear back from you!! He said the agent I spoke to the day before canceled our reservation. He told me my reservation had been canceled. Then, I heard a lady in the background say, we are not refunding his money!! Cartez, repeated the message, I ask why, we have Covid, surely you don’t want us showing up to your hotel with Covid, that would be so disrespectful of us and not to mention all the other hotel guests. So, I called back, he said he still didn’t have an answer, keep in mind this was June 1st and this was the day I was supposed to check in. I waited more than 24 hours and I hadn’t heard from him. He said he would, and he would call me back because the GM wasn’t available. I spoke to Cartez, he informed me that he couldn’t help me that he had to speak to the General Manager. I was informed by the agent in order to get a refund I had to call the hotel direct. I was talking to a call center not the actual hotel. My wife tested positive with COVID prior to our stay, on May 31st.( the day before we were suppose to check in ) I called the 1-888 number on my reservation to let them know.
